Emily L. Reichert
Chief Executive Officer, Greentown Labs
As its first employee, Dr. Emily Reichert, transformed Greentown Labs from a band of entrepreneurs sharing prototyping space into the United States' largest cleantech incubator. She sets Greentown Labs’ strategic direction, focusing on increasing the organization’s impact on clean and energy efficient technology commercialization through entrepreneurship. She also directs Greentown’s efforts to engage new partners, to expand educational programs for clean technology entrepreneurs, and to leverage the community of investors, universities, government agencies and NGOs striving to build our clean energy future. Emily strives to maintain the competitive edge the Greater Boston area holds in the clean technology sector, both nationally and internationally, as she leads the largest cleantech startup incubator in the United States. Because of her leadership and advocacy of the entrepreneurial and innovation ecosystem across clean technology sectors, the United States Secretary of Commerce appointed Emily to the National Advisory Council on Innovation and Entrepreneurship in September 2016. Emily holds a PhD in physical chemistry and earned her MBA from MIT.
